Night-time break from campaigning... (and incident number 2933-30/4/07)

Went to Scotland United last night - caught the tail end of things from around 10pm. Heard some amazing stuff and saw some capoeira. (Will add a picture when I get a chance).

On the way to the underground to get there I found a couple of our placards had been ripped down on Byres Road. They aren't the first to disappear - there's always a few which go to trophy hunters - but these had been cast onto the pavement, with zip-ties ripped/cut.

It's happened in previous years too... I witnessed it happening from a distance outside Hyndland Secondary in 2004 - in that case it was daylight and somebody was using a knife to systematically take them down. As it happens I was out with an activist doing placarding so we simply put them straight back up again.

Anyway, last nights malicious mischief was logged as incident number 2933 by the police - I wonder what the other 2932 were that day.
